Since 2005 Solent Yacht Charter have offered a charity auction prize to Dr Barnardo's and are proud to continue with this annual sponsorship.

During 2005 the childrens charity marked the centenary of the death of Dr Thomas Barnardo by celebrating the difference the charity continues to make to the lives of hundreds of thousands of children in the UK. Whilst we no longer run orphanages of Victorian times, they do continue to protect, nurture and provide opportunities for children through 361 specialised projects in local communities across the UK.

Solent Yacht Charter were pleased to be able to assist with the centenary commemorations by supplying a day charter on board our Prestige 46 Motor Yacht, which was offered as a prize in a fund raising auction. We have since provided Dr Barnardo's with this prize on 4 separate occasions, allowing the charity to raise a significant amount toward their valuable work.
